4WEB Medical has announced the initial launch of CSTS-IPS, the latest addition to its portfolio.

The CSTS-IPS system includes a plate that mechanically binds to the interbody fusion device, creating a stable environment to allow fusion.

The device is approved for use in up to two contiguous disc levels.

Spine & Orthopedic Specialist in Tulsa orthopaedic spine surgeon Kris Parchuri and Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Frisco spinal surgery director Jason Alder performed first procedures using the CSTS-IPS system.

Alder said: “4WEB’s new cervical implant with integrated plate provides an easy-to-use alternative to other stand-alone cervical implants. I was able to place the implant at an adjacent level to a previous multi-level cervical fusion without having to remove any hardware from the original construct.

“The integrated plate provides a more stable construct compared to a traditional stand-alone implant with screw or anchor fixation.”
