The PocketPro H² is a linear wireless handheld ultrasound system developed by Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas, a medical device company. It offers general diagnostic imaging and procedural guidance for point-of-care professionals.
Launched in July 2023, PocketPro H² is available in two variants: PocketPro H² 500L and PocketPro H² 300C.
Konica partnered with Healcerion, a medical device company, to distribute the PocketPro H² in the US. The device can be used for human and veterinary applications and offers new levels of flexibility and cost-effectiveness.
The device is suitable for musculoskeletal (MSK), sports medicine, pain management imaging and therapies, vascular access, and needle guidance applications.

The PocketPro H² comes with an easy-to-use, intuitive user interface that allows for one-handed operation, ensuring clinical confidence in each scan.
The lightweight device is designed ergonomically to meet the ever-changing requirements of point-of-care professionals. It features a working frequency range between 6MHz and 12MHz with Color and Pulsed-Wave Doppler, M-Mode functions and customised imaging presets. It can offer 90 minutes of continuous scanning in almost any point-of-care application.
It is supported by the SononX app, available on Apple, Android and Windows devices. It connects wirelessly to most iOS and Android smart devices for viewing images at the point-of-care. A patient data management solution onboard provides connected and informed care. The PocketPro H² supports digital imaging and communications in medicine (DICOM) and can be connected to any picture archiving and communication system (PACS) vendor.
The portability and ability of the device to share ultrasound images across the care team further streamline and simplify the workflow, allowing for more efficient patient diagnosis and coordinated intervention or treatment.
The device offers a rapid and assured means of examining soft tissue conditions such as tears, inflammation and joint, muscle, ligament, tendon and cartilage instability.
PocketPro H² variants and specifications
PocketPro H² 500L operates in the frequency range from 4MHz to 13MHz. It is 178mm long, weighs 260gm and has a maximum penetration depth of 6cm. The scanner has a stand-by period of 12 hours and takes approximately 90 minutes for full recharge.
PocketPro H2 300C operates at a frequency of 3.5MHz. It is 233mm long, weighs 390g and has a maximum penetration depth of 24cm. The scanner has a stand-by period of 12 hours. It can scan continuously for three hours with the same time required for full recharge.
It is suitable for abdominal, gynaecological and obstetric applications.
