Belgium-based diagnostic and interventional procedural solutions provider SYNDEO Medical has secured European Medical Device Regulation (MDR) approval for its two flagship product brands – SYNDEOPack Interventional Procedure Packs and Xssential Rapid Delivery Procedure Packs.

The SYNDEOPack and Xssential packs offer a comprehensive and customisable choice of tools and a wide range of devices to meet the specific demands of specialised interventional and surgical procedures.

With this approval, SYNDEO Medical can now provide these products to healthcare professionals across Europe, potentially streamlining surgical workflows.

SYNDEO Medical CEO Justin Lampropoulos said: “We have observed over the years that the specialised interventional procedure pack market has seen a significant reduction in options as companies have consolidated or exited the segment.

“We believe our organisation is uniquely positioned to fill this gap by delivering innovative, highly customisable solutions that address the specific needs of complex interventional procedures.”

According to Lampropoulos, the SYNDEOPack and Xssential packs are capable of including up to 80% of the essential products needed for certain complex interventional procedures.

The extensive interventional component portfolio features critical devices such as transradial sheaths, soft tissue biopsy devices, and drainage catheters.

Lampropoulos added: “We believe that, when given the choice, supply chain executives and clinicians will prefer including these devices within their procedure packs rather than purchasing standalone items. This approach not only streamlines procedures by consolidating essential components but also delivers significant benefits in terms of cost savings, packaging reduction, and alignment with our sustainability goals.”

Founded in 2023 by Lampropoulos and Andrew Cotton, SYNDEO specialises in minimally invasive interventional and surgical products. The company serves healthcare providers globally through a network of distribution partners.
