June 2021 has seen an increase of 19.27% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 10.8% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2021, registering decrease of 1.03% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 72.5% in June 2021, a 9.38% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 10% in June 2021, marking a flat month-on-month an increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 10% in June 2021, a 300% growth from May 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 7.41% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s medical industry during June 2021 over previous month.
Medtronic posted 15 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a decline of 11.76% over the previous month, followed by Asensus Surgical with 6 jobs and a 20% growth. NovoCure with 3 IT jobs and Danaher with 3 jobs, recorded a 200% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Agilent Technologies recorded a 100% an increase with 2 job postings during June 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s medical industry
Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 62.5% share in June 2021, a 21.88% decline over May 2021. South Africa featured next with a 7.5% share, up 200% over the previous month. Jordan recorded a 5% share, a flat growth compared with May 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.5%, down by 19.44% from May 2021. Entry Level positions with a 17.5% share, a growth of 40% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 10% share, down 33.33% over May 2021.
