Chinese medical device solutions provider Mindray has introduced its new wearable monitoring solution, mWear system, to continually monitor patient conditions and provide patient-centric care.
The new patient monitoring system combines complete wireless interconnection with streamlined workflows, accurate multi-parameter monitoring, and seamless integration for home-hospital settings.
The mWear system provides accurate and comprehensive measurements of vital signs, such as respiration rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, pulse rate, non-invasive blood pressure, and electrocardiogram (ECG), to help improve clinical outcomes throughout the patient journey.
It uses specialised status indicators, health parameters and time analysis to capture the physical activities and sleep of patients.
The system offers a complete set of patient-related data to help healthcare providers assess the recovery status of a patient completely and objectively.
Featuring anti-interference abilities, with a patented Anti-motion Algorithm, the new device allows patients to move without any restrictions and reduces false alarms for doctors.

By GlobalDataMindray Global Patient Monitoring and Life Support (PMLS) Sales and Marketing Department general manager Ralph Zhao said: “Integrating the latest monitoring technologies to address clinical needs, we believe that the mWear wearable monitoring system is a solid step forward to reshape the future of patients’ journey and take continuous patient monitoring to a new level.
“It is Mindray’s unremitting commitment to continue upgrading medical solutions that bring high-quality healthcare to every point of care.”
The company stated that the mWear wearable monitoring system offers customisable measurement settings and monitoring modes to fit different clinical demands.
It highlights vital sign changes and offers alarm escalations as well as an auto-triggered emergency mode to help physicians identify early signs of deterioration and provide timely mediation.
mWear uses a universal content management system (CMS) platform to display, analyse, alarm and report all patient-related clinical data throughout the healthcare journey.
Furthermore, the device allows hospitals to use the current Mindray IT architecture, which reduces installation and maintenance costs.
