The annual MediLink UK Awards set out to celebrate the cutting-edge technologies and business achievements from UK pharmaceutical and medical device businesses from the past year.
The event, held this year at the Merchant Adventurers Hall in York, UK, recognised innovative products and business excellence, both as a private company and in partnership with the NHS, and is fast becoming the national voice for UK-based healthcare companies.

This Nottingham-based company has increased its export sales 100% in the last year by accessing three new markets. Comprehensive dosage formulation and evidence services are provided by the company across a variety of applications.

The MediLink UK Start-Up Award
InterVene
Sheffield-based InterVene has a turnover of more than £1.5m ($2.3m) since it started trading in 2008. Its success is due to the female Luer lock hypodermic syringe designed for oral and enteral delivery.
InterVene managing director Matt Root said everyone at the company had worked incredibly hard to make it a success in the current economic climate. The company’s next goal is to market its newest innovation, a non-luer spinal/epidural connection system.
