July 2021 has seen decrease of 2.3% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 9.46% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2021, registering an increase of 1.05% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 66.42% in July 2021, an 8.18% growth over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 9.75% in July 2021, marking a 34.02% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 8.62% in July 2021, a 10.85% drop from June 2021.

Top five medical companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 11.09% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s medical industry during July 2021 over previous month.
Sonova posted 238 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered an increase of 16.1% over the previous month, followed by Demant with 236 jobs and a 16.83% growth. Danaher with 81 IT jobs and Sartorius with 71 jobs, recorded an 8% growth and a 44.9% increase, respectively, while Carl Zeiss recorded a 32.93% decline with 55 job postings during July 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s medical industry
Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 21.81% share in July 2021, a 0.34% decline over June 2021. Switzerland featured next with a 15.67% share, up 18.08% over the previous month. Poland recorded a 13.79% share, a growth of 5.75% compared with June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.86%, up by 6.98% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 15.14% share, a growth of 27.04% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.85% share, down 2.48% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.15%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
