Germany medical industry registered a 4.1% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 6.26% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.26% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 1.73% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.94% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany medical industry in July 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 71.82% in July 2021, a 0.48% growth over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 10.65% share, an increase of 19.23% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 6.53%, registering a 38.71% decline from June 2021.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 5.5%, up 60% over the previous month.

Top five medical companies in Germany IT recruitment activity in July 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 7.02% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany medical industry during July 2021 over June 2021.

Carl Zeiss posted 53 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a drop of 32.05% over the previous month, followed by Sartorius with 43 jobs and a 53.57% growth. medi GmbHKG with 34 IT jobs and Dragerwerk AGKGaA with 15 jobs, recorded a 29.17% drop and an 11.76% decline, respectively, while Arjo recorded a flat growth with 14 job postings during July 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.16%, down by 13.93% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 20.27% share, a growth of 136% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.56% share, down 4.35% over June 2021.
