November 2022 has seen a decrease of 13.79% in the overall hiring activity when compared with October 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 7.21% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2022, registering a decrease of 0.45% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 55.82% in November 2022, a 35.07% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 11.94% in November 2022, marking a 73.68% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 11.64% in November 2022, a 7.14% drop from October 2022.

Top five medical companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 20.13% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s medical industry during November 2022 over previous month.
Arjo posted 39 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a decline of 32.76% over the previous month, followed by GE Healthcare with 27 jobs and a 58.82% growth. Paul Hartmann with 23 IT jobs and Sonova with 22 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 68.12% drop, respectively, while PerkinElmer recorded a 6.67% increase with 16 job postings during November 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s medical industry
Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 23.28% share in November 2022, a 17.02% decrease over October 2022. The UK featured next with a 22.69% share, down 64.15% over the previous month. Switzerland recorded a 9.25% share, a drop of 63.95% compared with October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.46%, down by 50.87% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.61% share, registered a growth of 11.32% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 14.93% share, down 30.56% over October 2022.
