IT jobs accounted for a 6.16% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2022, registering a decrease of 0.75% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 47.06% in November 2022, an 11.11% drop over the previous month. Computer Support Specialists came in next, claiming a share of 23.53% in November 2022, marking a flat month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 17.65% in November 2022, a 50% rise from October 2022.

Abbott Laboratories posted 4 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered an increase of 300% over the previous month, followed by Danaher with 2 jobs and a 100% growth. Cooper Companies with 2 IT jobs and PerkinElmer with 2 jobs, recorded a 50% drop and a flat growth, respectively, while bioMerieux recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during November 2022.

Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 41.18% share in November 2022, a 40% increase over October 2022. Costa Rica featured next with a 29.41% share, down 54.55% over the previous month. Colombia recorded a 23.53% share, a flat growth compared with October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.71%, down by 31.25% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.65% share, registered a decline of 50% compared with the previous month.
