Corin Group has signed an agreement to acquire OMNI Orthopaedics, a US-based advanced care solutions provider for computer-assisted knee surgery.
Founded in 1999, OMNI Orthopaedics’ portfolio includes imageless total knee replacement solution OMNIBotics, which comprises one of the world’s first robotic tools for measuring ligament function.
The system is designed to facilitate implant positioning to meet individual patient requirements, reduce pain and support rehabilitation.
Corin Group will use OMNIBotics’ technology to complement its Apex knee replacement device, which is designed to recreate individual anatomy and kinematics to improve patient outcomes. The device includes a single radius active arc to allow smooth motion and achieve normal gait.
