Private equity company DW Healthcare Partners (DWHP) has announced the sale of DermLite, a developer and manufacturer of dermoscopy tools.
DermLite will be sold to EMZ Partners’ portfolio company FotoFinder Systems, a global innovator in skin cancer detection technology.
The companies have not disclosed the financial terms of the deal.
DermLite is a portfolio company of DWHP’s Founders Fund and develops advanced dermoscopy equipment.
These tools, including dermatoscopes and phone adapters, are instrumental for healthcare professionals in diagnosing skin cancer and other skin conditions by utilising magnification lenses and LED lighting.
DermLite president John Bottjer said: “DermLite and FotoFinder are two complementary businesses that together create a strong global player in skin imaging and dermoscopy.”
