EvoEndo has expanded its product line with the launch of the Model LE 85 Single-Use Gastroscope, designed to enhance sedation-free transnasal endoscopy (TNE) of the upper gastrointestinal tract.
This new model aims to provide increased comfort for patients and greater control for physicians during procedures where access to the duodenum is not necessary.
Featuring a shorter shaft and improved flexibility, the Model LE 85 retains the capabilities of its predecessor, the Model LE 110.
With the new addition, EvoEndo offers physicians a choice in scope length to tailor to individual patient needs.
EvoEndo manufacturing and operations senior vice-president Paul Imaoka said: “Our commitment to integrating physician and patient feedback leads to the next generation of product functionality and performance.
“Rapid, iterative development is the result of strong engineering, a deep knowledge of the application, and a sense of urgency to meet clinical needs.”

By GlobalDataSince it secured the US Food and Drug Administration clearance for the Model LE 110 in February 2022, EvoEndo has introduced two upgraded models with better imaging and usability.
The EvoEndo Model LE Gastroscope series is designed for use in both adults and children over five years old, facilitating the observation, diagnosis, and treatment of the oesophagus, stomach, and duodenal bulb.
These sterile, single-use devices can be inserted either orally or transnasally and are intended to be used with the EvoEndo Controller for diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, as well as video observation.
Earlier this month, Duke Health became the first healthcare facility in North Carolina, US, to offer EvoEndo’s TNE gastroscope to paediatric patients.
