Woman’s fertility application, Natural Cycles has been designated as the first such health application to be regulated as a medical device.
Recently held clinical studies have likened the efficacy of Natural Cycles to that of a contraceptive pill in preventing pregnancies.
Health applications are considered to play an important role in a woman’s daily life as it furnishes information impacting their health and well-being.
The company had initiated the process of getting the application recognised as a medical device after it was launched in 2014.

The easy-to-use application studies women’s body temperature to advise on their ovulation day and fertility.
The body temperature is indicative of the body's natural hormones hence indicating ovulation.
The temperature is then fed into the application everyday or on a regular basis which is then used to predict the days of fertility.
The application can also identify ovulation for women who have an irregular menstrual cycle.
