Japan-based endoscopic imaging firm PENTAX Medical and Swiss medical imaging company Hitachi Medical Systems Europe have launched a new video bronchoscope for endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), EB19-J10U.
The new endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is designed to deliver diagnostic accuracy, smooth EBUS-trans-bronchial needle aspiration (TBNA) and enhanced patient safety through clear ultrasound and endoscopic imaging.
EB19-J10U features a combination of Hitachi ultrasound systems, PENTAX Medical video processors with high visualisation capabilities, and high-definition fully digital video and 100% colour-CCD-Chip in the tip technology.
The high imaging performance of the new device is expected to enable precise visualisation of the airway wall, surrounding lymph nodes and structures for accurate diagnosis of lung diseases.
Hitachi’s multi-layered Crystal Technology has been integrated with EB19-J10U’s ultrasound transducer to facilitate efficient transmission and reception of the ultrasound pulse for obtaining high-resolution images with improved tissue differentiation and minimal energy loss.
In addition, the EUS includes a single use suction valve, cleaning brushes and new cleaning adapters to ensure safety and easy operation.
