Perosphere Technologies, a US-based medical technologies company, has entered an exclusive distribution agreement with M3 Medical, a part of Uniphar Medtech, to bring the Perosphere ClotChek point-of-care (PoC) coagulometer to Ireland.

This partnership marks Ireland as the first country to gain access to this diagnostic tool, designed to assist healthcare professionals in rapidly assessing coagulation status at the patient’s bedside.

Perosphere ClotChek is a reagent-free diagnostic device that provides quick and accurate results within three to eight minutes, aiding in the management of patients requiring anticoagulants to prevent blood clots and stroke.

Perosphere chief operating officer Daryl Mootoo said: “We are excited to partner with M3 Medical based on the company’s longstanding expertise and demonstrated success in the medical device market to improve patient care.
