Resonant Link has launched a 15-minute wireless charger that can be used for implantable medical devices, including titanium-can implants.

Patients can recharge their titanium-can-based implant within minutes without interrupting their daily routines using the company’s wireless charging technology.

Resonant Link’s latest charger provides three times faster wireless charging at 2.5W with a header-integrated receive coil.

Patients can now charge in just 15 minutes and move around freely while charging, saving more hours of time each week.

Resonant Link CTO Aaron Stein said: “Anything that improves the patient’s day-to-day experience is worth investing in.

“Customers who’ve had a sneak peek at our ti-can platform have been blown away by its speed and spatial freedom, giving patients the freedom to live their lives with these critical treatments.”

Furthermore, the company stated that it offers various out-of-the-box charging platforms, as well as customised products on request.

Resonant Link CEO Grayson Zulauf said: “Our wireless charging platform for titanium-can-based implants is a direct result of listening to patients.

“Current wireless chargers are slow to recharge implants and incredibly difficult to align, making recharging the single most common patient complaint for many active implantable devices, like spinal cord stimulators. Our wireless charging for titanium cans changes all of that.”

Resonant Link offers five times faster wireless power for applications such as small medical devices.
