The new edition of our digital magazine is out now – you can read it online for free. Here are some of the highlights from this month’s edition.

With the 2024 Alzheimer's Association International Conference (AAIC) concluding at the beginning of August, in this month’s cover story we put dementia research in the spotlight and explore the blood-brain barrier - the biggest hurdle in treating brain diseases.

We also look at 3D printing and its associated technologies which are gradually taking up a place in the surgical landscape. According to GlobalData analysis, factors such as customisation, lower production costs, and quick turnarounds will double the value of the medical 3D printing market from $2bn in sales in 2022 to $4bn in 2026.

Elsewhere in this issue, we investigate how wearable patches are revolutionising women’s health and examine good manufacturing practice in the medical device industry.

This issue also contains a full supplement dedicated to cybersecurity. We will look at the evolving threat landscape, the impact of generative AI, the latest technological advances in cybersecurity and everything business leaders need to know to protect their organisations from cyber threats.
