Arthrex, a minimally invasive surgical technology company, has launched TheNanoExperience.com, a new online platform designed to educate patients about Nano arthroscopy, a least-invasive orthopaedic procedure.
This procedure offers the potential for quicker recovery and reduced pain for those suffering from various orthopaedic conditions.
TheNanoExperience.com features an interactive tool to help patients find local surgeons trained in Nano arthroscopy.
Additionally, an FAQ section provides insights into the procedure's applications and what patients can expect.
Arthrex president and founder Reinhold Schmieding Said: “Nano arthroscopy is transforming the way we approach diagnostic and least-invasive surgical treatments.
“Our latest educational tool, TheNanoExperience.com provides patients with the resources to learn more about this innovative technology and make informed choices about less-invasive treatments than traditional open or arthroscopic methods.”
Most Nano procedures can be performed in a surgeon's office or an ambulatory surgery centre, the company said.
Nano arthroscopy utilises a high-quality camera mounted on a needle-like device, along with other miniature instruments, enabling surgeons to diagnose and treat injuries in small and large joints.
The NanoNeedle Scope, a key component of this technology, may also reduce the need for MRI scans by allowing diagnosis and treatment under local anaesthesia.
Arthrex Product Management, Imaging and Integration senior director Eric Butler said: “With Nano arthroscopy, your doctor may be able to discuss what they are seeing with you in the moment, rather than having to wait for test results.
“We have highlighted these advantages and many more – all based on extensive orthopaedic research and patient testimonials – on TheNanoExperience.com, which serves as a powerful educational tool for patients before choosing their Nano Arthroscopy Experience.”
