Carestream Health has announced enhancements to its ImageView Software and DRX-Evolution Plus System, aiming to improve the technologist experience and patient workflow.
The upgrades include new Smart Room Options for the ImageView Software and additional features for the DRX-Evolution Plus Digital Radiography System.
The ImageView Software version 2.1 now offers Smart Room Options such as virtual long-length imaging, virtual collimation, patient-position monitoring, and patient picture, positioning overlay, and align assist.
These additions are designed to assist radiographers in confirming precise positioning for consistent and productive image capture, leading to quicker diagnoses and treatment paths.
Furthermore, the software now includes detector alignment tools that facilitate the assessment of detector position in non-bucky environments, enhancing radiographer confidence and reducing the potential for grid cutoff.
Carestream Health Digital Radiography (DR) Room systems worldwide product director Steve Romocki said: “Carestream is continuously focused on helping deliver more productivity with our DR portfolio.
“These latest improvements deliver on that need—with camera-based positioning features for faster, more accurate positioning, fewer retakes, and more comfortable patient exams.”
The DRX-Evolution Plus System has also been upgraded with the latest ImageView 2.1 software features.
New grid frames for the wall stand, a bi-directional audio assist, an AEC edge location on the console screen and a patient picture option have been added to the system's capabilities.
These enhancements are part of Carestream's broader portfolio of advanced imaging solutions, which include pneumothorax visualisation, tube line visualisation, low-dose patented dual-energy-based bone suppression, digital tomosynthesis, and AI-based smart noise cancellation.
