Eko Health and FIGS have forged a partnership to unveil the new FIGS | Eko CORE 500 Digital Stethoscope.

The new offering combines the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved CORE 500 Digital Stethoscope of Eko with FIGS’ expertise in design and functionality.

The stethoscope fits well into the layering approach deployed by FIGS for its wider array of products.

TrueSound technology leveraged by CORE 500 provides an unparalleled audio experience. This approach aids in delivering robust sound filtering and noise reduction while transmitting sounds from the heart and lungs precisely.

The stethoscope also features a full-colour screen that displays heart rate and electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring, offering clinicians prompt data at the point of care.

When combined with Eko's other FDA-approved artificial intelligence products, the digital stethoscope can detect abnormalities such as bradycardia and tachycardia, to aid in patient assessments.

Under the partnership, FIGS will provide the digital stethoscope along with earpieces in four colour combinations in line with the FIGS layering system.

FIGS CEO and co-founder Trina Spear said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Eko to bring the CORE 500 Digital Stethoscope to our amazing healthcare community.

“Our collaboration demonstrates our continued commitment to innovation that aids the incredible work healthcare professionals do to save lives each and every day.”

In July 2023, Eko Health entered a licence and supply agreement with Astellas Pharma for the CORE 500 digital stethoscope and AI-driven cardiovascular disease detection software suite.
