Fujifilm announces compatibility of Arietta 750 FF ENDO with endoscopes

Fujifilm Healthcare Europe has announced the compatibility of its ARIETTA 750 FF ENDO ultrasound system with a range of ultrasound endoscopes and an endobronchial ultrasound scope.

The Arietta 750 FF ENDO, a high-end ultrasound system, is now compatible with FUJIFILM's ultrasound endoscopes (EG-580UR, EG-580UT, and EG-740UT) and the linear ultrasound bronchoscope EB-530US.

This integration is set to leverage Fujifilm Healthcare’s advanced ultrasonic transmission and reception technology known as "eFocusing" and the image processing technology referred to as "Carving Imaging".

These technologies enable the ARIETTA 750 FF ENDO to produce clear ultrasound images.

ARIETTA also boasts a suite of diagnostic applications, including "real-time tissue elastography" (RTE), which visually represents tissue elasticity variations, and "shear wave measurement" for quantitative tissue elasticity evaluation.

Moreover, the ARIETTA 750 FF ENDO features detective flow imaging (DFI) technology, which enhances the resolution of low-velocity blood flows, which were previously challenging to visualise, thus offering a new level of diagnostic detail.

Fujifilm Healthcare Europe Pulmonology and Synapse 3D Surgical head Samiran Dey said: “It is exciting news that FUJIFILM can now offer EBUS compatibility with the ARIETTA 750 system.

“This will allow current ARIETTA 750 users to utilise their platforms with the FUJIFILM EBUS scope. For those physicians who require a standalone system for EBUS, the FUJIFILM solution has arrived.

“Additional functionality such as elastography are on offer with the ARIETTA 750. EBUS ultrasound imaging of lymph nodes is vital for visual optimisation ahead of needle aspiration for distinct diagnosis and staging of lung cancer.”

In April 2024, Fujifilm announced an investment of $1.2bn to ramp up its North Carolina facility.
