Kinesiology tape brand KT has introduced two new patches designed to enhance diabetes care, expanding its KT Health Line products.
The company said that the continuous glucose monitor (CGM) and insulin pump patches will revolutionise how individuals with diabetes manage their condition.
KT CEO Jessica Klodnicki said: “Expanding our KT Health Line of recovery products underscores our commitment to providing comprehensive solutions for individuals seeking to stay active so they can feel their best.
“These products underscore our commitment to empowering individuals managing diabetes with solutions that enhance comfort, reliability, and peace of mind in their daily lives.”
KT has developed the KT Tape CGM patches with Pro Extreme adhesive to address the common issue of CGM device detachment.
These patches offer a durable and comfortable solution, ensuring that devices remain secure for seven to ten days.
Crafted with a medical-grade adhesive, the CGM Patches feature hypoallergenic properties.
They are dermatologist-tested, water-resistant, and come in various shapes to fit devices such as Freestyle Libre and DexCom CGM.
These products are not affiliated with Dexcom or Abbott Diabetes Care.
Furthermore, KT has introduced the KT Tape insulin pump patch for Omnipod 5, catering to users of the advanced Omnipod 5 insulin pump.
This patch extends the security of the insulin pump, offering up to seven days of adhesion, which is a significant improvement over the standard three days.
Similar to the CGM patches, this product is sold by KT and is not affiliated with Insulet Co.
