NanoVibronix and Mio-Guard have signed a distribution agreement for the former’s PainShield MD product.
As part of the multi-year agreement, Mio-Guard will exclusively sell and distribute PainShield MD products to its US customers in the areas of athletic team sports and sports medicine.
Mio-Guard already ordered its first lot of PainShield MD products and plans to showcase them at the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Expo.
Mio-Guard CEO Ken Zisholz said: “This agreement is very exciting for Mio-Guard, the opportunity to represent this world-class product to our customers in the US is a tremendous one. We are very excited to feature the PainShield MD at the NATA Expo in Indianapolis next week.”
PainShield, a type of ultrasound therapy for pain, offers quick pain relief for nerve and soft tissue damage.
Designed to be used immediately post-injury and post-op, PainShield can be used to treat both chronic and acute pain.
NanoVibronix CEO Brian Murphy said: “This new distribution agreement is a great opportunity for us to expand our footprint in sports medicine and within the realm of organised sports teams at various levels.
“Sports medicine represents a $5bn opportunity in the US and has gained traction in recent years due to the rising incidence of sports injuries and growing participation in sports and fitness-related activities.”
NanoVibronix also provides UroShield, a urology therapy device with a disposable clip and a driver.
The clip-on UroShield device can be attached to all external urinary tract catheters to offer relief from spasms and catheter pain.
