California-based hormonal health company Mira has added another product to its portfolio of hormonal health solutions for women, the Menopause Transitions Kit.

The product is an AI-based hormone tracking monitor for women between the ages of 35 and 60 years. The device tracks four reproductive hormones, namely follicle stimulating hormones (FSH), luteinising hormones (LH), a metabolite of progesterone called pregnanediol glucuronide (PdG) and oestradiol metabolite E3G.

The menopause transition kit connects to the menopause transition app, which is a part of the Mira kit. The app allows users to define the current reproductive stage, anticipate approaching menopause and offer insights to follow, as per Mira.

According to the company, the device can help track their hormones to identify ovulation and menopause transition. The app also allows users to track their symptoms and associate it with hormone changes. Mira also notes that the hormone data can be used to track the effectiveness of the hormone therapies such as HRT, which is commonly administered in menopausal patients to manage their symptoms.

Founded in 2015, Mira released its hormone-tracking monitor back in 2018. The company initially focused on infertility tracking and management. The company has identified menopause as a growing segment.

Mira CEO Sylvia Kang said: "Unfortunately, menopause remains a deeply stigmatised issue, accompanied by the lack of education for women and helpful tools to prepare. By launching the menopause transition kit, we aim to offer women a solution that informs and empowers them.

"While many existing solutions only address the problem when it already exists, Mira Hormone Monitor: Menopause Transitions Kit provides an opportunity to enter and go through the whole menopause journey without guessing, address symptoms earlier and better understand the changes that are such a normal part of ageing".

In July, the company launched an online Hormone Health Clinic, which is set to provide personalised support from fertility professionals to people struggling to conceive. The product provides personalised support from fertility professionals, focusing on addressing hormonal imbalances, nutrition and gut health, setting up effective exercise routines and improving mental health.
