German-based provider of innovative medical solutions, Rudolf Riester GmbH, has joined forces with US based power solutions company, Acumentrics, to enhance the functionality of their Telemedicine Case.

The Riester Telemedicine Case, designed to enable patient assessments in remote areas worldwide, will now incorporate the Acumentrics Pack Power as its favoured power solution. The decision was based on Acumentrics reputation of delivering high-performance power solutions in various industries, and the Pack Power's reliability, portability, and smart power management capabilities.

With the integration of Acumentrics Pack Power, the Riester Telemedicine Case enables healthcare providers to capture and transfer vital medical data from various devices, supporting them to deliver on-site treatment and care effectively. The partnership has the potential to bridge the gap between patients in remote areas and healthcare professionals, ensuring those in hard-to-reach locations receive the medical attention they need.

Expressing his excitement about the news of the partnership, Acumentrics CEO, John Cerulli said “We are thrilled about this opportunity with Riester as it demonstrates our expansion into both commercial and global markets.”

“With our Pack Power, Riester can ensure that healthcare providers have the smart portable power they need to deliver exceptional care worldwide. We look forward to fostering this growing relationship and witnessing its positive impact on global healthcare accessibility.”

Riester claims its Telemedicine Case has a robust hard-case construction, guaranteeing the safe transportation of medical equipment. Equipped with a rugged tablet PC, the case offers up to seven hours of battery life, making it ideal for emergency services and remote applications. The suite of high-quality medical devices within the case allows front-line healthcare providers to deliver a consistently high standard of care to patients, regardless of their location.

During the pandemic telemedicine experienced a boost in interest which can be seen in the market value. In a market report by GlobalData, telehealth including all types of virtual care was globally worth $690 million in 2015. It is predicted to increase five-fold and be worth $3.8 billion by 2030.

The collaboration between medical devices and power solutions can transform healthcare delivery, bringing quality medical services to the most isolated corners of the world.
