Pylo Health has launched two cellular-connected remote patient monitoring devices, the Pylo 900-LTE blood pressure monitor and the Pylo 200-LTE weight scale.
The two devices are validated clinically and designed to integrate with the Prevounce care management platform and other health applications.
The Pylo 900-LTE blood pressure monitor can offer roaming 4G/5G connectivity with 2G fallback, ensuring reliable data transmission even in remote areas.
It features a ‘triple measurement mode’ for accurate readings, in line with the American Heart Association's blood pressure measurement guidelines.
Designed to offer precise weight measurements, the Pylo 200-LTE weight scale provides roaming cellular connectivity eliminating the need for patient setup.
It is designed for patients involved in RPM programmes for medical weight loss, heart failure, bariatric surgery, and more, offering a modern, low-profile design for ease of use.
In a press statement, Pylo Health said: “The 200-LTE is a more economical and compact alternative to Pylo's 300-LTE Plus scale for patients weighing less than 450 lbs.”
The company noted that healthcare organisations can customise the 900-LTE monitors and the 200-LTE scales to align with their requirements.
Pylo and Prevounce founder and CEO Daniel Tashnek said: “Ongoing remote blood pressure and weight monitoring are low-barrier and highly effective additions to primary care, cardiology, gastroenterology, bariatric, and other remote care programmes.
“Cumbersome, unreliable hardware can get in the way of programmes realising their full clinical and financial potential. We're excited to introduce new Pylo devices that are not only highly advanced, accurate, and dependable, but also comfortable and simple for patients to use.”
