Proprietary products, Pressure Sensors
With more than five million pressure sensors produced every year, Metallux is one of the market leaders in this field, providing standard or custom sensors according to individual client needs.
Metallux piezoresistive pressure sensors are produced by screen printing on ceramic (alumina Al2O3). All products are suitable for aggressive media, thanks to the use of high-quality materials.
Ceramic’s purity grade can be increased to ensure optimal biocompatibility. Sapphire (alumina crystal form) is used for adverse applications.
Metallux’s pressure sensors can be delivered calibrated, thermally compensated with a range of various output values: mV/V, ratiometric, non-ratiometric, current loop and digital I2C.
Flexible production process allows customisation such as dedicated offset, higher sensitivity or special calibration values.
Thanks to its knowledge of microelectronic assembly, Metallux also offers the integration of silicon MEMS pressure sensors on whichever substrate required by the customer.
These application-specific elements are suitable whether the choice of materials is crucial: it is most important to maintain the correct element facing the media to measure, fluid or gas, in order to optimise compatibility and/or biocompatibility.
With dimensions of 1,5*1×5*6mm, Metallux’s MEMS pressure sensors fit almost everywhere, making them suitable for size-sensitive applications such as miniaturised devices or inside probes and catheters.

EMS Hybrid circuits – Contract Manufacturing
Metallux provides electronics manufacturing services (EMS) hybrid circuits to allow the development of electronic circuits on various substrates, meeting dimensional requirements, thermal dissipation, and laser trimming resistors calibration with very narrow tolerance.
Using state-of-the-art equipment, Metallux supplies electronic boards and components for various machinery and devices.
With regards to EMS hybrid circuits services, we provide thick film technology, various substrates (stainless-steel, sapphire, Al2O3 ceramic, FR4 and flex), laser trimming and IPC (Institute of Printed Circuits) compliance.
Microelectronics expertise
Metallux is experienced in assembling electronic circuits, Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS), Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC), and a wide range of electronic components without packaging.
Metallux can also partner with customers and develop electronic boards with custom ASIC for every device, with an eye to miniaturisation. Typical examples of applications are pacemakers, neurostimulators and probes.
