Microwave (MW) and radio frequency (RF) ablation applications
MW or RF ablation is a new method for treating cancer tumours and metastases. This minimally invasive method makes it easier to operate on sensitive areas, eases post-traumatic complaints and significantly reduces costs due to shorter recovery times.
As a result, this new operating technique offers excellent opportunities for widespread adoption in the market.
These minimally invasive interventions are complemented by constantly improving imaging techniques, which makes it easier to localise even the tiniest tumours or metastases. The great technical challenge is to channel the microwaves required for the ablation process from the generator into the inside of the diseased tissue.
