ARBOR Technology has launched COM-630E, a COM Express CPU module which features a wide range of operation temperature and fanless design. COM-630E’s computing core is based on the Intel Atom Z510PT processor, SCH US15WPT and 1GB soldered DDR2 SDRAM. The Z510PT is more suitable for harsh conditions than other Atom series because it offers reliable operation temperature in the -40°C to 85°C range. The fanless design provides advantages of low power consumption, dust-free and silent operating; as a result, COM-630E is ideal for industrial areas that require environment stability.
COM-630E supports two IDE devices and builds with Intel Ethernet chipset while supporting I/O interfaces including eight USB ports, PCI and PCIe slot through carrier board. Customers can easily connect with other interfaces according to their requirements. Furthermore, with Intel GMA500, which supports shader-based technology, 2D, 3D graphics, high-definition video decode, and image processing, COM-630E can be applied in areas that need graphics processing technology including in-vehicle entertainment, digital signage, kiosks, gaming machines, etc.
The industrial field has more environment concerns than business applications. Taking the harsh environment into consideration, besides the temperature tolerating range of -40°C to 85°C, ARBOR also provides conforming coating services depends on the customer’s requirement. The non-conductive material coating can prevent the board from corrosion due to moisture, salt fog, rain or other environmental factors, which makes it suitable for transportation and military applications as well.
