Novosanis’ headquarters in Wijnegem now features a newly built clean environment, which was designed and constructed by Voxdale.
The installment is divided into one class D clean area for prototyping and manufacturing Novosanis’ products VAX-ID™ and Colli-Pee™ and one closed-off laboratory to conduct experiments.
CEO of Voxdale Koen Beyers states: "The clean area is installed to reduce the concentration of airborne particles to a minimum by tightly controlling air flow rates, pressurisation, temperature and humidity.
"Contaminants, generated by staff, the production process, the surroundings, and tools are scaled down using overpressure, high-efficiency particulate arrestance (HEPA) filters, and training of staff."
FloEFD computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software from Mentor Graphics was used to define the area’s lay-out and architecture, and optimise the internal fluid dynamics of the room.
