Bellows metering pumps
Bellows metering pumps operate on a positive displacement principle. Pumps are designed to displace both corrosive and noncorrosive fluids. Discharge pressure is maintained over the entire flow range of the pump. These pumps contain poppet valves to prevent backflow. Springs are available to provide a positive shutoff, preventing siphoning through the pump in applications where a positive suction head exists. In order to better serve the OEM market, GRI offers many bellows models, all fully customizable, including a Bleach-Compatible Bellows Pump.
Typical OEM bellows metering pump applications include:
- Film and X-ray processors
- Silver recovery systems
- Equipment sterilization
- Blood analyzing equipment
- Thermo-therapy equipment
- Detergent dispensers
- Waste removal systems
- Wastewater and water treatment systems
Centrifugal pumps and magnetic drive pumps
Centrifugal pumps are designed to transfer both corrosive and non-corrosive fluids at maximum hydraulic efficiencies. Magnetic drive centrifugal pump operation is similar to a standard centrifugal pump except the motor shaft seal is eliminated. Magnetic drive pumps are designed to isolate the wet end of the hydraulic circuit from the motor by driving an impeller and magnet assembly with a drive magnet assembly attached to the motor shaft.
Typical OEM magnetic drive pump applications include:
- Laser and X-ray cooling systems
- Medical equipment
- Scientific and laboratory equipment
- Film processors
- Silver recovery equipment
Piston diaphragm pumps
Piston diaphragm pumps are positive displacement pumps designed to economically transfer small volumes of fluid at low discharge pressures. The lightweight, compact pumps are self-priming, corrosion-resistant and can handle viscous fluids.
Typical OEM piston diaphragm pump applications include:
- Scientific and laboratory instruments
- Chemical dispensing applications
Oscillating pumps and oscillating diaphragm pumps
Oscillating pumps are self-priming, corrosion-resistant, have no dynamic seals and are constructed from FDA-accepted materials. These pumps are intended for replenishing, transfer and circulating installations.
Typical OEM oscillating pump applications include:
- Detergent dispensing
- Chemical mixing
- Medical, scientific and laboratory equipment
Chemical resistance charts
The chemical resistance charts provide ratings to reveal which chemicals work best with specific materials. These ratings have been developed from technical publications, material suppliers and laboratory tests, and are presented for your evaluation and not as a guarantee. Our staff will help determine material selections for testing.
