Guardtech Cleanrooms’ impressive recent expansion is continuing with the recruitment of a new member to their installation team.

Arran Williams joins the Haverhill-based company as an Installation Engineer, having recently completed a degree in Construction Management.

Williams follows the additions of Business Development Manager Daisy Friend, Quality Lead Martin Sewell, Financial Controller Heidi Utley and Marketing Manager Joe Shackley in an eventful few months of growth for the controlled environments experts.

Mr Williams has been developing his skills and expertise in the areas of control of processes for monitoring hazards and changing environmental conditions.

He’s already been involved in many major projects in the Nuclear industry, working within high and low-risk areas and has undertaken a range of safety and industrial training programmes.

And he is now set to join up with Installation Manager Michael Burton and his all-action team of Connor Westbrook and Liam Sanders.

Guardtech specialises in large-scale turnkey construction projects, as well as smaller-scale modular cleanroom builds, while also providing self-assembly ISOPOD controlled environments and CleanCube portable cleanroom solutions.

Mr Williams is excited about the prospect of cutting his teeth at a firm which is going from strength to strength in the cleanrooms sector.

“I’m looking forward to utilising the skills and experience I’ve gained from my degree within the construction industry,” he said. “I’m at the beginning of my professional career, ready to put my knowledge and experience – as well as my academic foundations – into practice.

“At university, I took a particular interest in modular construction – a subject that soon became the main focus of my dissertation. The range of services and innovative products that Guardtech have to offer is what attracted me to this role.”

An avid rugby fan, Williams enjoys watching his beloved Wasps and is a keen fundraiser – having supported the South East and Central Essex Mind Charity over the last couple of years.

“I’ve played rugby for my local team Burnham on Crouch since the age of seven,” he added. “And In my spare time, I coach an Under-16 team.”

And with a string of CleanCube mobile lab conversions under their belts recently, Mr Williams will be thrust into helping Guardtech tackle the Covid-19 crisis right from the kick-off.

Operations Director Conor Barwise added: “A lot of our recent projects have seen us help with the national effort to kick Covid into touch, and that is a great source of pride for us as a business. I’m delighted to welcome Arran to our unbeatable Installation team.”
